Iditarod reading race

March 10-21st Vikings competed in the Iditarod dog sled reading race. Our Librarian, Mrs. Fairbourn, challenged the students to read and record the number of minutes read each week and report them to her. She recorded the minutes on a large dog sled chart outside the library. On March 26th a special assembly was held to announce the winners.Awards were given to students, from each class, that had read the most minutes from their class. The winning students were then invited to attend a party in the library to watch a movie and eat snacks.

We're proud of our Vikings for all the reading they did over the two week period!
